Grants and Beneficiaries

Once a year, MCC performs a concert to raise awareness of and funds for a nonprofit organization that addresses an important need in our local area.  Please note: Applications for our 2025 grant are now closed and the selected organization will be announced at our January 12, 2025 concert! Applications for 2026 will open in August 2025.

In 2025, Midcoast Community Chorus is again planning to give concerts in both January and June, where we will announce and provide a grant to benefit a Midcoast non-profit organization. The grant will be in the amount of $5,000.00. Applications for the 2025 grant are now closed. THANK YOU to ALL of our applicants!

Last year at the June 16, 2024 concert, “Hope Sings!”, the chorus performed selections from “Sing for the Cure” to benefit the Penobscot Bay YMCA LIVE STRONG Program that supports for cancer patients and survivors. This grant allowed the YMCA to provide two 12-week sessions of this beneficial programming in fall 2024. Click here for more information about this amazing program!
