About Mimi Bornstein

Mimi Bornstein is a professional choral director, song leader, pianist, singer composer, workshop and worship leader. Her work embraces the healing and transformational elements of music, often focusing on the powerful journeys we take when we sing together in community. Mimi recently resigned from her position of 13 years serving as Music Director at the first Universalist Church in Rockland, Maine, and is now traveling extensively throughout the country performing, directing choirs, and presenting workshops and worship services at churches, regional and national gatherings, and healing and retreat centers. On the local level, Mimi is well known for her work as Artistic Director of the highly successful Missa Gaia and Neighbor 2 Neighbor community chorus benefit concerts. A noted composer, Mimi’s work has been sung nationwide and abroad, and is published in a number of collections.
